John Aiken is new to Richmond, but has over 15 years experience DJing elegant weddings at some of Washington DC’s most prestigious locations. Most of the brides he works with are referred both from previous clients as well as from some of the most respected caterers, photographers and event planners in the area. John does fewer than 30 weddings a year, allowing him to provide his clients with the highest level of focus and personalized attention. His clients rave about his professional “non-cheesy” demeanor and his ability to create a warm but lively atmosphere during dinner and then transition to a tasteful and entertaining mix of music which will keep the guests dancing throughout the remainder of the evening. Unless specifically requested by the client, John won’t automatically play the typical cliché wedding songs such as “The Electric Slide” or “YMCA”. You won’t have to worry about hearing any canned drum rolls before the cake cutting or ‘football stadium’ type introductions. Throughout your reception his focus will be on creating the classy and upbeat atmosphere you have dreamed about
John offers music services for elegant Weddings and focuses on providing the highest level of service. His main concern is the quality of events NOT the quantity of events. That is why he only works with 30 clients a year. Rates will vary depending on month, location, length of your event, and any additional services required. Please email or call to get an exact quote, but please keep in mind that pricing for DJs varies greatly and we will not be the lowest quote you get. A retaining fee of $100 is required to secure his services with the remaining balance due the week of your event
John, Anisha and I wanted to thank you so very much for your excellent work at our wedding last month. You did a terrific job in keeping the place hoping during the party-part of the night and in keeping an unimposing, low profile with soothing background music during the cocktail/dinner-part of the night. You effortlessly mixed ethnic with mainstream music and commanded the Indian dance floor as though you hadn't been doing anything else for the last 20 years. And the sound downstairs was great as well -- perfect equipment that did what it was supposed to do for the music and the speeches alike. No hissing, no feedback -- it even allowed our live singer to sound so pure that many people thought they were listening to a CD. We would certainly be very happy to recommend you to future prospective customers should the need arise. Thanks so much for playing a big part in making our special day a "dream wedding", as some guests called it. Best, Hannfried and Anisha Thank you so much for your work on our wedding day. Everyone had a blast and so many of our guests have complimented us on your choice of music and your discrete control of the events of the evening. Can you send me your address when you have a chance? Thanks so much. Carine John, We just wanted to take a moment to thank you for the amazing job you did at our wedding last week. We received so many great comments on your music, I can’t believe how much everyone danced. Everything was perfect, from the elegant jazz during cocktails and dinner to the dancing. The best part was that just as you promised…no line dances or cheesy music. Thank you again! Tim and Jen Dear John, On our honeymoon, my husband and I discussed what an amazing job you did at our wedding! You really listened to the mood that we wanted to set for our guests. You took our guests from a relaxing cocktail and dinner to a fun filled dance under the stars! Everyone has agreed that it was one of the most fun weddings they had ever been to because of the great music that was played. My most treasured memory of the wedding was of all of our guests, young and old, dancing together and smiling. After months of planning, I felt a huge sigh of relief! My goal of a fun wedding was accomplished! Thank you for creating that memory for me. I have recommended you to many brides-to-be! Many thanks and love, Elizabeth and Ted
